the brief

Create a compelling narrative inspired by the words of Junjie Pan, utilizing footage and design to create a unique perspective through motion.

ideation + storyboard

With only three weeks for completion, I knew that the ideas for this concept had to be effective and yet stylistic for the time I had. I cut up the quote into sizeable chunks to pair with ideas so the concept would shine through the visuals.

I drew inspiration from motion designers/agency I look up to and incorporated some of their concepts into particular frames, one of which I had to figure out how to transfer from 3D to 2D.

Here I incorporated the use of a moving camera for a transition.

After feedback, utilizing the warp effect + a DSLR refocus seconds after fit the transition better.
